FRENCH

Grammar

Students will start by learning basic grammar including: pronouns, verb conjugation, and the different tenses, with focus on the present tense.

Vocabulary

Students will start by learning fundamental vocabulary in French such as in regards to food, sports, and animals. Vocabulary in adjectives, nouns, and verbs will be taught as well.

Speaking

Common speaking phrases in French will be taught and those that are used for conversation. Speaking practices will be conducted every class to improve fluency.

Reading

Students will read samples of French writing and stories to develop greater understanding and pronounciation.

Writing

Students will particpate in sentence construction and respond to writing prompts to develop strong writing skills.
